Early Childhood and Education

Care for young children and guide their early learning by choosing a pathway in early childhood. You could work in preschools, childcare facilities or classrooms. You’ll need a passion for supporting young children, patience, creativity, the ability to problem-solve and plenty of energy.

Off-the-job training:

Start VET study at school through off-the-job training in:

  • CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services (for preparation for Certificate III level)
  • CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Introduction to Australian First Nation’s Languages (Kaurna)
  • Advanced Australian First Nation’s Languages (Kaurna)
  • Advanced Education (School Based Support)
  • Advanced Early Childhood Education and Care

Industry specific requirements, including:

  • Department of Human Services Working With Children Check
  • National Police Clearance

  • Customised SACE subjects
  • Pastoral care – mentoring and monitoring
