Aged Care and Disability

You will help clients with their mobility and personal hygiene, general needs, preparing food, social activities and empowering them to reach their desired level of independence. To work in  this field, you will need good communication skills, resilience, patience and compassion.

    Senior Secondary

On-the-job training:

Start your career at school through on-the-job training in one of:

  • CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services
  • CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support
OR

Off-the-job training:

Start VET study at school through off-the-job training in:

  • CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services
    • (for preparation for Certificate III level)
  • CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support

Industry specific requirements, including:

  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • Driver’s Licence (Preferred)
  • Manual Handling (Preferred)
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 as per SA Health requirements
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • National Police Clearance
  • Department of Human Services Working With Children Check
  • Worker Orientation module
  • Influenza vaccination

  • Pastoral care - mentoring and monitoring
