Turn a passion for growing food and plants into a career in horticulture. You can also work in parks, gardens and turf management, preparing and checking irrigation, weeding and digging, paving and even building decking. By specialising in food production, you can work in greenhouses, warehouses and nurseries to pick and pack produce, drive tractors and forklifts and even use robotics. You’ll need both a practical and creative mindset, enjoy physically demanding work and be able to use your initiative and judgment.
